01-2 Learn the Analects of Confucius

有子曰：
其为人也孝弟，而好犯上者，鲜矣；不好犯上，而好作乱者，未之有也。
君子务本，本立而道生。孝弟也者，其为仁之本与！”

-English
You Zi [1]said "It is seldom seen that a man of filial piety and brotherly love would be inclined to offend those above. There has never been anyone who does not have the inclination to offend those above, inclined to create disorder. The gentleman should focus on its basics, once the basics are strong, the Way will take shape by itself. Thus, filial piety and brother love forms the roots of benevolence[2]."

[1]You Zi  is one of Confucius's students.he was looking like Confucious.
[2]Benevolence is the expression of kindness and altruism.
